The Montreal Canadiens fell to the Buffalo Sabres in Game 4 on Tuesday night. Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen slammed the door on the Habs to tie the series 2-2. The Canadiens had their possibilities, especially on the facility play, but didn’t money in. Cole Caufield and his teammates could now face elimination with a loss in Game 6.
The probabilities the Habs had could come back to haunt them. Though that is the primary true playoff run this group has been on, the team knows what these missed opportunities could mean. Caufield spoke about it during his postgame media availability.
“It’s frustrating,” Caufield said, via French-speaking outlet TVA Sports. “I feel like we played a very good game. There are definitely points of the sport we will improve, but bad luck like that isn’t the sort of thing you would like.”
The Canadiens had a complete of seven power play possibilities in Game 4. Unfortunately, they only capitalized on certainly one of them. Caufield scored with the person advantage to offer his team a 2-1 lead on the time.
