UFC news: Francis Ngannou reacts to Conor McGregor’s return : ‘I don’t care, bro’

After years of waiting, the Irish loudmouth MMA fighter Conor McGregor is all set to make his UFC return. McGregor is about to fight Max Holloway on the upcoming UFC 329 on Jul. 11, 2026, at T-Mobile Arena.

McGregor’s return was announced similtaneously former UFC Heavyweight Francis Ngannou was making his entrance for his fight against Philipe Lins on Jake Paul’s Most Worthwhile Promotions. Following his win there, Ngannou was later asked about his thoughts on McGregor’s return.

“And what the f*** do I even have to do with that? So I should stop my walkout and take a look at what’s occurring with [Dana White]? I don’t care, bro,” Ngannou said. “Let’s move on. Life goes on, I’m doing my stuff here, I’m doing well, I even have no problem. Everybody can do whatever they need.”

Ngannou didn’t share a positive experience with UFC and Dana White during his final run there, and as many might imagine on social media, White announced McGregor’s return similtaneously Ngannou’s entrance as an intentional move. Nonetheless, as a substitute, it did more good than harm since the Heavyweight’s name began trending concurrently as McGregor on social media.

Talking to ClutchPoints recently ahead of his MVP fight, Ngannou expressed his confidence ahead of his match against Philipe Lins. While he proved his confidence and won the fight, he had certain big words to say before the match.

“ I feel I even have more advantage than what you think that or what he might think because numerous people, not numerous people, some people, they’re on the today, they undermine my determination and my motivation, they think I just go sit home and be comfortable. They, ‘I’m like, oh, you ought to be on vacation. Oh, blah, blah, blah, blah, blah.’ I’m like, these people, they do not understand [anything.] After which I feel if anyone is sleeping into that, then he’s gonna discover. It’s gonna be a giant surprise for him.”
