Locals in Bangladesh have named a rare albino buffalo after Donald Trump for his uncanny resemblance to the US President.

Donald the buffalo is a serious celebrity in Narayanganj and even has equivalent hair to the US president.

Farm owner Ziauddin Mridha bought the buffalo from a cattle market about 10 months ago.

He said, ‘My younger brother jokingly named it Donald Trump after seeing the hair on its head. It is extremely calm in nature.

‘Albino buffaloes are generally peaceful and don’t turn out to be aggressive unless provoked.’

One local told Prothom Alo newspaper: ‘He looks exactly like Donald Trump. His facial structure and hairstyle match.’

A second buffalo was named after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu for the same ‘resemblance’.

The manager on the farm where Benjamin the buffalo lives said: ‘Netanyahu could be very naughty and has a devious intelligence.’

Each buffaloes are being prepared for sacrifice during Eid al-Adha, and are being fed corn, soybeans and bran ahead of the festival.

Hoping to catch a glimpse of them before they meet their fate, tourists are standing in large queues for a probability to take a selfie with the animals.

One visitor said his nephew took an hour-long boat journey simply to see Donald.

Trump bragged about potentially becoming the leader of Israel before the ‘dramatic and lengthy’ call in regards to the war in Iran.
