Jake Paul’s MVP drops major Conor McGregor interest before his UFC return

After several years of waiting, MMA veteran Conor McGregor is all set to make his UFC return. McGregor is ready to fight Max Holloway on the upcoming UFC 329 on Jul. 11, 2026, at T-Mobile Arena. Following serving his suspension, the Irish fighter is ready to be back contained in the cage.

UFC President Dana White announced the return in May. 16, 2026, the identical day as Ronda Rousey’s comeback fight for MVP [Most Valuable Promotions]. Recently, talking to Ariel Helwani, Jake Paul’s partner and MVP’s co-founder, Nakisa Bidarian saw it as an enormous opportunity for MVP.

“I viewed it as just confusing. Why would you do this during what’s clearly an enormous event in sports… What’s the target? Was it since you didn’t want people to essentially concentrate to Conor McGregor coming back? Was there some criticism you were expecting since the opponent fights at 145 or 155? And Conor’s walking around at 185? Truthfully, it made no sense to me… I felt bad for Conor,” Bidarian said.

Further when asked about the opportunity of signing McGregor to MVP, Bidarian didn’t rule out the possibilities. “If the day comes that Conor McGregor is a free agent, we’ll do every thing in our power to work with him. And that’s to work with him to do his own events. That’s to work with him to fight Jake Paul in boxing and MMA,” he said.

Bidarian explained that signing McGregor to MVP could be primarily to assist him recognize his value and secure an enormous payment. “That’s to attempt to make Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz and ensure they get the overwhelming majority of the revenue. Conor’s biggest payday of his profession by far is fighting Floyd Mayweather. The one time he wasn’t throughout the framework and pay system of his current employer. I do know he knows that. And I do know he knows the ability that he has as a brand. And I hope we’re capable of help him in that sooner or later if and when he’s a free agent.”

As of now, that is hypothetical, and there are not any confirmed updates on McGregor coming to MVP or potentially fighting Jake Paul.
