Euphoria is build up to its third — and possibly last — finale with several characters potentially being arrange for an onscreen death.
Based on the Israeli series of the identical name, Euphoria followed troubled highschool student Rue (Zendaya) as she struggled to stay sober after rehab. The series also explored topics including mental illness, toxic relationships, sexuality and more. After its premiere in 2019, the show’s ensemble solid, which included Hunter Schafer, Alexa Demie, Jacob Elordi, Sydney Sweeney, Maude Apatow, Colman Domingo quickly skyrocketed to fame.
Ahead of the season 3 finale, which airs May 31, Elordi’s character, Nate, was killed off with a rattlesnake bite.
“That was a cool strategy to go. Nate was someone who has made so many mistakes and made so many dark selections,” Elordi explained in a segment that aired after the May 24 episode. “It’s cool to see all of it come to what it’s come to.”
Elordi recalled having to film in a coffin, adding, “My shoulders were touching the side they usually couldn’t move my arms. Then they’d drill the lid on it and it will get dark. It was very nice, actually. It was quite peaceful in there.”
At the tip of the segment, Elordi reflected on his time playing Nate.
“It’s a bittersweet thing,” he said. “This show is a large a part of — not only my profession — but my life. It’s been amazing and I’m so happy with being a component of this.”
Nate isn’t the just one on the chopping block. Keep scrolling for each possible character death scenario ahead of the season 3 finale:
Rue
Zendaya in Euphoria season 3. Eddy Chen/HBO
Three seasons of shenanigans could meet up with Rue (Zendaya) within the finale. It will also be certain the show can’t coming back for more episodes since season 3 has been presumed to be the ultimate season.
Cassie

Sydney Sweeney in Euphoria season 3 Patrick Wymore/HBO
Nate was the primary to go but could Cassie (Sydney Sweeney) be next?
Maddy

If not Cassie, Maddy’s (Alexa Demie) cope with Alamo definitely puts her vulnerable to being at risk.
Alamo or Laurie
In a war between Alamo (Adewale Akinnuoye-Agbaje) and Laurie (Martha Kelly), one — or each? — of them won’t make it out alive.
Faye or Wayne

After Faye (Chloe Cherry) exposed Rue, either her time is up — or Wayne (Toby Wallace) will get what’s coming for him. Wayne self-identifying as a Nazi should make him a more viable goal however it stays unclear what creator Sam Levinson has in store.
Kitty

There isn’t a way Anna Van Patten‘s character Kitty is being taken to Mexico for a BBL and coming out of it alive.
