Backstage Update – Jacob Fatu Injured

Jacob Fatu could also be coping with a legitimate injury following his recent WWE live event match against Roman Reigns.

As previously noted, Fatu was seen limping after competing in a street fight against Reigns at Thursday’s WWE live event in Liverpool, England, resulting in speculation over whether he was simply selling or had actually been hurt.

In accordance with a report from Pwinsider, the situation is more serious than initially believed, because the outlet reports that Fatu is indeed injured. Nevertheless, the severity of the injury stays unclear right now.

Prior to that report, False Finish’s Cory Hays stated that Fatu was “okay,” while WWE made no mention of any injury during Friday’s episode of SmackDown. Hays later added that WWE currently expects Fatu to be “effective” in time for Clash in Italy on Sunday, though contingency plans are reportedly being discussed in case he’s unable to compete.

Fatu is currently scheduled to face Roman Reigns in a Tribal Combat match for the World Heavyweight Championship at WWE Clash in Italy this Sunday. The event will stream live in america on ESPN Unlimited, with the primary hour airing on ESPN, while international viewers can watch on Netflix.
