Why Aoriqileng Will Win
- Last Fight: (W) Cody Gibson – TKO (straight right, R1)
- Last 5: 2-2-0-1
- Finishes: 9 KO/TKO, 1 SUB
Aoriqileng was flawless against Cody Gibson during his last appearance at UFC Vancouver, coming into the fight because the +160 underdogs and delivering an ideal right hand to drop his opponent. Ending the fight along with his hammerfists, it was Aoriqileng’s first knockout win within the UFC since 2022 when he had an identical finish against Cameron Else. He’ll hope to collect a win streak here as his motivation needs to be high fighting on home soil.
Aoriqileng has all the time been known for his fearless striking style and the “Mongolian Murderer” is actually a fitting moniker given the switch he’s in a position to flip when entering into the cage. While he will not be the very best in anybody aspect, he’s extremely proficient all over the place and goes into every fight seeking to finish inside the space.
His chin and sturdiness have also been proven as he’s lost only one time via KO/TKO. During this fight, Aoriqileng should look to guide the dance along with his front foot and step in with shots every time Haddon tries to rifle combos. Not fearing what’s coming back his way, Aoriqileng will look to walk through Haddon’s offense knowing he can finish this fight if he counters effectively.
Why Cody Haddon Will Win
- Last Fight: (W) Dan Argueta – U DEC
- Last 5: 5-0
- Finishes: 5 KO/TKO, 2 SUB
Cody Haddon has had a turbulent journey since his last UFC appearance in 2024 after withdrawing from his bout against Aleksandre Topuria in February 2025. He then fractured his foot right before a November bout against Malcolm Wellmaker, failing to money in on the chance. He now returns with some added pressure hinging on this appearance, but Haddon’s potential and past performances still boost his stock heading into this fight.
At just 27 years old, Cody Haddon is incredibly fluid in all areas of the fight. His takedown defense may be very impressive and he’s often strong enough to reverse positions and find yourself in an advantageous spot. From there, he’s athletic enough to complete opponents along with his ground-and-pound or advance positions for a submission.
Haddon can be extremely fast along with his hands and utilizes great movement around his opponent. He’s never really absorbing a couple of strike at a time as he stays in perpetual motion, so expect him to proceed exploiting the gaps from every angle if he’s in a position to gauge the space early.
Final Aoriqileng-Cody Haddon Prediction & Pick
This fight needs to be a banger as each side have a history of exciting finishes and fast-paced striking. Cody Haddon is actually the rightful favorite here from a skill standpoint, but he’s been inactive for a while and can be facing a dangerous Aoriqileng coming in off a win. Haddon might want to remain relatively mistake-free against such a opponent unless he wants to search out himself in an all-out brawl by the late third round.
Aoriqileng could have the support of the group and it should feed into his willingness to shut the space and interact Haddon. While he is not more likely to clinch or grappling along with his opponent, expect Aoriqileng to throw the kitchen sink at him by way of striking looks.
Still, I feel the speed and shiftiness of Cody Haddon can be the major difference here as Aoriqileng tends to walk his opponents down in a straight line. Expect Haddon to chop the varied angles as he sees success along with his striking and takedown attempts if he chooses to take the fight there. Either way, Haddon needs to be the one dictating the pace of this fight. We’ll roll with the betting favorite as the overall over hits as well.
Final Aoriqileng-Cody Haddon Prediction & Pick: Cody Haddon (-360); OVER 2.5 Rounds (-110)
