A former WWE champion appears to be gearing up for an in-ring return following her recent release from WWE.
WWE WrestleMania 42 weekend brought loads of surprises, but one in all the largest shocks for fans got here shortly afterward when WWE released multiple talents from its roster. Since then, several former stars have began resurfacing on the independent scene, including a member of Wyatt Sicks (Joe Gacy) who was recently announced for an upcoming match. Now, one other former WWE name appears to be next in line for a comeback.
London-based promotion EVE Wrestling is preparing for its June 5 event, EVE 150: History Makers | Rule Breakers!, where Molly Spartan is advertised to face a mystery opponent described only as a “former WWE Tag Team Champion.”
While several names fit that description, the promotional material heavily hints that the mystery competitor might be Alba Fyre, formerly referred to as Kay Lee Ray. The announcement reads as follows,
“Molly Spartan has thrown out the challenge to someone for Friday June fifth, but is being ever so barely vague as regards to this woman who she hopes will meet her in the course of the ring at EVE 150 in London on Friday June fifth. All we all know is that this firey competitor is a former WWE Tag Team Champion, a former EVE Champion, and an absolute KiLleR within the ring. We’ll discover the reply to this mystery this coming Friday June 5 at EVE 150!”
The clues appear to line up with Fyre’s resume. Using the word “firey” looks as if a transparent nod to her WWE ring name, while references to a former WWE Tag Team Champion and former EVE Champion also fit her credentials.
Before signing with WWE, Alba Fyre competed in EVE: Riot Grrrls of Wrestling and held the EVE Championship from March 2019 until June 2019. Her most up-to-date wrestling appearance got here on April 16 during WWE World events surrounding WrestleMania 42, making this potential booking her first announced match since departing the corporate.
