Actors Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim are currently facing a difficult time on the non-public front. While Dipika is undergoing treatment for liver cancer, Shoaib’s father was recently hospitalised after suffering a brain haemorrhage. In his latest YouTube vlog, Shoaib shared updates on each Dipika’s condition and his father’s health, in addition to his feelings about being away from his son Ruhaan for prolonged periods.
Shoaib Ibrahim Shares Health Update On Dipika Kakar
On Friday, Dipika Kakar underwent her first immunotherapy session. In his recent vlog, Shoaib Ibrahim said, “Dipika’s immunotherapy has began at HN Reliance Hospital; it’ll take 3-4 hours. After this, I’ll head to Kokilaben Hospital to fulfill Papa. We hope Dipika’s immunotherapy works.” His update comes days after Dipika revealed that doctors had detected two latest cysts.
For context, Dipika has already undergone two cancer-related procedures: a serious liver surgery in 2025 and a cyst removal in 2026. Regarding his father’s health, Shoaib shared, “My father is doing higher; his health is improving day-to-day. His speech and the best side of his body will eventually get better. The day before yesterday, after 10 days, he finally began speaking; he has began smiling now. His speech therapy will begin soon because when he tries to talk long sentences, he blabbers. Within the last 1-2 days, things have began to recover.”
Just a few weeks earlier, Dipika and Shoaib celebrated their eighth wedding anniversary. She recently underwent surgery to remove the cyst, which was successful. She has been fighting stage 2 liver cancer for several months. In June 2023, Dipika underwent tumour removal as a part of her ongoing treatment.
Though Shoaib Ibrahim has been away from television for a while, he stays lively behind the scenes as a producer. His latest music video has also been supported by his production house, Qalb Productions.
