Zuffa Boxing chief Dana White explained that neither fighter was allowed to talk to the media after the bout as he wanted each men checked immediately.
“We sent them each to the hospital, they’re each getting checked out,” said White.
“I got my guy, Dave Lewis, and I said, no interviews, no nothing. I would like each these guys to go straight to the hospital.”
White added that fighter safety stays considered one of his biggest priorities.
“In 30 years of the UFC, there’s never been a death or serious injury. And it’s necessary for me to maintain that run alive, especially with boxing.”
