Valheim 1.0 Launches September 9 With the Deep North

Valheim, certainly one of our all-time favorite crafting survival games, finally has a 1.0 release date. Developer Iron Gate has confirmed that the Viking survival game will leave early access on September 9, 2026, launching alongside its long-awaited final biome, the Deep North. The total release brings latest enemies to fight, bases to construct, and weapons to craft, all shown off in a brand new release date reveal trailer.

With the 1.0 launch, Valheim is finally coming to PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch 2, the primary time the sport has reached either platform. They join the present PC, Mac, Linux, XBOX One, and XBOX Series X|S versions, and Iron Gate confirmed full crossplay across all of them so players can keep constructing and raiding together no matter platform.

Iron Gate has said more details will come as launch approaches, but for now the date is the headline. Valheim 1.0 lands on September 9, 2026, and we cannot wait to sink dozens, if not lots of, of hours back into it the moment it goes 1.0.
