A young couple of their 20s died just days apart and a month after tying the knot in Ireland.

The community in Tipperary, Ireland, is mourning the sudden deaths of Adam Hencek and Tomas Feuller.

Adam, 23, died unexpectedly at their home on Tuesday last week, in response to a funeral director in Clonmel.

His partner, Tomas, 25, then died on Friday evening, also at home.

The couple, who hail from Slovakia and were living in Carrick-on-Suir, died a month after getting married.

Adam’s aunt, Mirka Kohutovicova, launched a fundraiser for her nephew and his husband following the tragedy last week to assist with the funeral costs.

She said: ‘I’m fundraising for the joint funeral of my nephew Adam Hencek and his husband Tomas Feuller, who tragically passed away on the 02.06.2026 and 05.06.2026 respectively.

‘We might greatly appreciate any donations to assist fund the wake and the cremation of the newlyweds.’

Inside days, the GoFundMe had reached its goal of €12,000 (£10,352).

Tributes have poured in from the community after news of the couple’s deaths spread.

Adam’s former piano student wrote online: ‘So sad. Adam taught me piano briefly, he was an excellent teacher and a gentleman. My thoughts are with Adam’s family and friends at this awfully sad time, may he rest in peace.’

One other person wrote: ‘Very sad to listen to this. We met Adam and Tomas last 12 months through work and their energy and love of life was infectious.’

A 3rd person said: ‘That is devastating. Two young men,within the prime of their lives, passing so unexpectedly. My sympathy to their family and friends.’

One other tribute said: ‘RIP to this handsome couple Adam & Tomas, so very sad, condolences to each of their grieving families. May they find comfort within the memories of pleased times shared together.’
