Veteran batter Rohit Sharma became the oldest Indian player to feature in ODI cricket after taking the sphere in the primary match of the three-ODI series against Afghanistan national cricket team on Saturday, June 13, on the HPCA Stadium.
At 39 years and 44 days old, Rohit went past former India all-rounder Mohinder Amarnath, who previously held the record at 39 years and 36 days during his last ODI against the West Indies in October 1989 on the Wankhede Stadium.
