Despite the brutality of the sequence, Lopez admitted she found the emotional and physical intensity strangely compelling. “[Alabama] has a blown-up face for the remaining of the movie, but she’s still s-xy. You continue to need to sort of kiss her on the lips,” Lopez said.

The conversation became much more revealing when Lopez named the 1986 erotic thriller “9½ Weeks” starring Mickey Rourke and Kim Basinger as “the sexiest movie” she had ever seen. “[Basinger’s character] knew that it was dark and no good and so mysterious but that’s what made it s-xy and good but in addition knew it was toxic… You would like her to get out of it, but I didn’t want her to get out of it. I loved every moment,” Lopez admitted.

Lopez’s comments come after years of being open in regards to the complicated nature of affection in her own life. The actress and singer, who has been married 4 times and engaged six, previously acknowledged that a few of her past relationships crossed troubling boundaries.
