Simone Biles is getting some Vitamin D while recovering from a health scare.
Biles, 29, took to Instagram on Sunday, June 14, to indicate off her “And still I rise” tattoo” in a bikini after opening up a couple of recent hospitalization. Within the pic, she rocked a black bandeau top with white straps. The Olympian teamed the highest with matching bottoms that tied in bows on her hips.
Biles elevated her look with a diamond chain necklace, a coordinating silver bracelet, and her diamond engagement ring from her husband, Jonathan Owens. Biles accomplished her look with round black sunglasses by Fendi.
The gymnast rocked soft glam while absorbing the sun, including blushed cheeks, manicured brows and glossy lips. Her highlighted hair was parted down the center and worn down.
She previously spoke out in regards to the ink she has on her chest, noting it was a reminder of her resilience. “Before I got this tattoo, it was a saying that I loved — obviously, Maya Angelou — and I used to be like, ‘And still I rise is ideal,’ because I feel like that’s sort of the epitome of my profession and my life story,” she said in her Netflix series Simone Biles Rising. “Because I at all times rise to the occasion, and in spite of everything of the traumas and downfalls, I’ve at all times risen.”
Biles’ bikini moment comes after she revealed she was hospitalized and “almost dying” via Instagram earlier this month.
“I’m not one to normally share things like this because I value privacy in today’s age, but almost dying wasn’t on my bingo card this week,” she captioned a selfie of herself wearing multiple hospital bracelets on June 6. “This was one in every of, if not the, scariest experience of my life,” she added.
While Biles didn’t disclose details of the health scare, she shared that Owens, 30, was out of town in the course of the incident.
“I’ll explain eventually, but [shout out] to my close circle who reached out, checked in, visited or sent flowers 🤍🤍🤍, Love y’all,” she continued.
In one other photo, Biles shared a screenshot of a monitor reading her heart rate. “I’ll be here,” she wrote.
Biles and Owens first connected in 2020 after they matched on Raya. In August of that yr, they made their relationship Instagram official. On Valentine’s Day in 2022, the Indianapolis Colts player got down on one knee and popped the query.
The pair officially tied the knot in a personal courthouse ceremony in Houston, Texas, in April 2023, and celebrated their nuptials one month later in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
