Fahmaan Khan opened up on his journey to stardom, which was removed from smooth. In an exclusive interview with Bollywood Bubble, Fahmaan recalled how his first major break, Star Plus’ Kya Kasoor Hai Amla Ka, became each a dream come true and a heartbreaking setback. Opening up in regards to the emotional toll of the experience, he revealed how perseverance, resilience, and a timely second probability helped him bounce back. Fahmaan Khan On His Big Break
When asked about his first big break, its memories and the way it impacted, Fahmaan Khan said, “Mera pehla bada project ‘Kya Kasoor Hai Amla Ka’ tha, Star Plus par. Lekin usse pehle maine do-teen episodic shows kiye the. Ek show aata tha ‘Bhakton Ki Bhakti Mein Shakti’, usmein maine ek episode kiya tha.Uske director ne mujhe bola tha, ‘Tu yahan kya kar raha hai bhai? Tu achhe serials aur shows kyun nahi kar raha?’ Maine kaha, ‘Shuruaat hai sir, jahan kaam mil raha hai, kar raha hoon.’Usse pehle ek show tha ‘Yeh Vaada Raha’.”
He added, “Usmein mera sirf 15–20 seconds ka ek scene tha, Yash Tonk ke saath. Wahan toh foremost kaanp raha tha. Lagbhag 150 junior artists the, chaar cameras lage hue the, aur master shot chal raha tha. Mujhe entry karni thi apne mummy-papa ke saath, jo show mein mere parents bane the, aur mujhe Yash sir ko ek dialogue bolna tha jo unhe neecha dikhaye.”
Khan Was Signed For A Star Plus Show
The actor continued, “Maine uss ek line ki poora din rehearsal ki thi. Mera work time subah 9 baje tha, lekin shot raat ko 10:30 baje laga. Poora din foremost wahi line practice karta raha. Jab actual take hua, toh lagbhag 15 takes tak foremost dialogue bol hi nahi paaya. Mere pair literally kaanp rahe the. Uske baad ‘Kya Kasoor Hai Amla Ka’ hua, aur woh ek crazy, beautiful journey thi. Maine show bahut kam paise mein sign kiya tha. Humne Udaipur mein pilot shoot kiya aur phir wapas aa gaye. Uske baad 5–7 mahine ka waiting period tha show ke officially start hone se pehele.”
The actor added, “Maine toh ghar par sabko bata diya tha, ‘Bhai, foremost Star Plus ka show kar raha hoon!’ Major bahut khush tha. Apni diary mein bhi likh diya tha. Workout kar raha tha, khane-peene ka dhyaan rakh raha tha. Paise ki tangi toh thi, lekin jitna ho sake utna khud ko prepare kar raha tha. Mujhe lag raha tha ki show shuru hote hi sab theek ho jayega. Do-teen mahine mein paise aane lagenge aur life set ho jayegi. Lekin paanch mahine beet gaye. Phir ek din mujhe call aaya. Unhone kaha, ‘Sir, show ban raha hai, lekin leads ko chhodkar poori solid change ho gayi hai. Hum aapko contract cancellation ka mail bhej rahe hain.’”
Fahmaan Recalls Being Replaced
Khan said, “Meri toh haalat kharab ho gayi. Maine socha, ‘Yeh mere saath kya ho gaya?’ Major paanch mahine se wait kar raha tha. Na maine koi aur kaam kiya tha, na kisi audition mein gaya tha. Teen din tak foremost PG ke room mein hi pada raha. Bas sota raha. Kuch karne ka mann hi nahi kar raha tha. Major soch raha tha, ‘Ab kya bolun? Kya karun? Kahan jaun? Kahan apna sar phodun?’ Major ghar walon ko bata chuka tha, doston ko bata chuka tha. Woh feeling bahut buri hoti hai. Teen din baad foremost utha aur maine khud se kaha, ‘Bas, ho gaya. Ab aage badhte hain.’ Major ghar chala gaya. Do din lag gaye mummy-papa ko yeh batane mein ki kya hua hai. Jab maine unhe sab samjhaya, toh woh bhi kaafi pareshan ho gaye.”
Fahmaan concluded, “Ek hafte baad, uss waqt Life OK channel ke liye maine ghar se hi ek audition record karke bheja tha. Uski baat final stages tak pahunch chuki thi. Tabhi mujhe usi production house se dobara call aaya. Unhone poocha, ‘Woh Subeer wala character kar loge?’ Maine kaha, ‘Paise toh de do pehle!’ Unhone kaha, ‘Nahi, woh jo ladka mock shoot mein tha, woh channel ko pasand nahi aaya.’ Galti se unhone yeh baat mujhe bata di. Maine poocha, ‘Shoot kab se shuru hai?’ Unhone kaha, ‘Teen din baad Dharamshala mein shoot hai.’”
Fahmaan Buys A House With His Money
He added in conclusion, “Mujhe samajh aa gaya ki unke paas option nahi hai. Maine turant teen guna paise maang liye. Maine kaha, ‘Mera jo tumne moral down kiya hai, uski bharpai karo. Major teen din tak bas sota raha hoon.’ Woh log mujhse negotiation karte rahe, lekin foremost maana nahi. Aakhirkaar mujhe wahi amount mila jo maine demand kiya tha — poore teen guna paise. Phir maine woh show kiya. Aur jaise hi show shuru hua, lagbhag teen mahine mein paise aane lage. Uske baad maine apna pehla one-bedroom apartment le liya. ‘Oh my God! Let’s live lavishly!””
