When AEW first put together its roster, 4 young stars were named because the unofficial “4 Pillars of AEW,” a reference to the legendary “4 Pillars of Heaven” from All Japan Pro Wrestling’s peak within the Nineties. The 4 chosen were MJF, Darby Allin, Sammy Guevara, and “Jungle Boy” Jack Perry, all of whom have achieved various degrees of success in AEW, particularly MJF and Allin as they’ve held, and in MJF’s case still holds, the AEW World Championship.
Nonetheless, as time has gone on, fans have began to create latest groups of pillars based on who they think will carry the corporate into the long run.
