GUNTHER and Nick Aldis are facing consequences following their backstage confrontation at WWE Night of Champions 2026.
The pay-per-view event in Saudi Arabia led to disappointment for GUNTHER, who got here up short in his bid to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship from Sami Zayn and Cody Rhodes. Tensions only escalated after the show, when the previous World Heavyweight Champion was involved in a heated backstage altercation with SmackDown General Manager Nick Aldis that turned physical.
During this week’s episode of RAW, Michael Cole provided an update on the situation, revealing that each GUNTHER and Aldis have been sent home within the aftermath of the incident. Cole also announced that Aldis has been placed on administrative leave while WWE addresses the situation.
With Aldis sidelined, RAW General Manager Adam Pearce will oversee each RAW and SmackDown until further notice.
