Why didn’t Max Holloway wrestle in highschool?

Max Holloway recently revealed the ridiculous reason he learnt methods to wrestle later than most.

The 34-year-old says he didn’t need to be seen wearing the tight-fitting uniform made during his days in highschool.

“Oh yeah, of course. Wrestling was available at my highschool,” Holloway told UFC reporter Megan Olivi.

“A bunch of my friends were attempting to get me into wrestling, but I wasn’t about to be caught dead in a singlet, dawg. Are you crazy?

“At first, I believed that was crazy, but now have a look at me. I’m 30-something old. I exploit tights to fight.

Like, what the hell, I must have just placed on a rattling singlet to learn wrestling.

A whole lot of those who’s watching this straight away are gonna go in your comments and be like, ‘Yeah, he must have done wrestling, because look what Oliveira did.’ These guys are ridiculous, bro.”

When is Max Holloway’s next fight?

Max Holloway will face an opponent who has previously outwrestled him at UFC 329 on July 11.

Conor McGregor became a grappler after tearing his ACL once they first fought 13 years ago.

All these years later, McGregor and Holloway are set to run it back on the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

Despite their history, the Hawaiian is a heavy favorite to win as a consequence of his constant elite-level activity.

McGregor is coming off five years out of motion, which began when he broke his leg during a trilogy bout with Dustin Poirier in July 2021.
