Mike Santana’s run with TNA has officially come to an end.
After reports earlier this week indicated that Santana’s contract was set to run out in the approaching days, TNA sources have now confirmed that he has finished with the promotion. In consequence, Santana is not going to be appearing at this week’s TNA iMPACT! television tapings in Albany, Recent York.
Santana’s departure comes amid longstanding interest from WWE. The corporate has reportedly been maintaining a tally of the previous TNA World Champion since last yr, with Santana already making several appearances on WWE NXT programming as a part of the continuing partnership between WWE and TNA.
The news follows Santana’s TNA World Championship loss to Nic Nemeth finally weekend’s Slammiversary pay-per-view event in Boston, Massachusetts, a match that now appears to have been his final outing for the promotion.
