Gervonta Davis is pulling no punches and even his former mentor Floyd Mayweather is on his hit list.
Floyd Mayweather has been making the headlines for some unlucky reasons over the past few months, with him rumored to be in financial trouble.
‘Money’ was scheduled to rematch his longtime rival Manny Pacquiao in a clash on the Sphere this coming September, but that was recently canceled.
And now, the 49-year-old has been called out by his former student and undefeated lightweight champion, Gervonta Davis.

Gervonta Davis targets Floyd Mayweather in surprise callout
‘Tank’ Davis hasn’t fought since he and Lamont Roach Jr. fought to a majority draw last March, retaining his WBA title.
Despite that, he was later stripped of the title due to his ongoing legal situation and inactivity from the game.
The 31-year-old was scheduled to shockingly face Jake Paul within the ring last November, but his legal issues got in the best way of that fight and it was canceled.
And now, the undefeated fighter has once more turned his attention to potential fights with Devin Haney and Shakur Stevenson.
Nevertheless, not only that, but Davis has also included his former mentor and friend, Mayweather in his hit list for potential future fights.
“I’ll take Floyd too. Tell em suit up,” Davis wrote on his X account.

Over the past few years, Mayweather has entertained several exhibition fights and still appears to be doing so along with his ongoing financial struggles.
And despite having not fought professionally since 2017 when he took on Conor McGregor in an enormous crossover fight, the 49-year-old believes he continues to be the face of the game.
“I’ve proved that I’m 100% after I get in that ring, they pray on my downfall,” Mayweather recently said on Come and Talk 2 Me.
“Truthfully speaking, I’m still the face of boxing.”
It stays to be seen whether Mayweather will return to the boxing ring professionally, although he isn’t willing to shut down the prospect of that taking place.
