Exodus Fans Call For Fundamental Character Redesign

A number of people have already got high hopes for Exodus. This sci-fi RPG is being developed by Archetype, a studio formed by former BioWare devs, so many are seeing this as a spiritual successor to the Mass Effect series.

So, many were disenchanted when it was confirmed that the character creator could be rather more limited than Mass Effect’s. The devs have confirmed that we are going to have “curated options” once we design our own Jun Aslan, with the next customisation options open to us: “hairstyles, facial hair, hair color, eye color, makeup, and tattoos.”

In fact, the worst part about that is that those that had wanted to construct their very own character, or perhaps a personality that looked a bit of bit more like them, will now not give you the chance to achieve this. But there may be one other group of fans who’re disenchanted, too – those that think default Jun is chopped.

Exodus Fans Want Jun To Be Redesigned Before The Game Launches

Fans had already been complaining that there was something a bit of off about Jun’s facial animations within the previews we would seen. Now, fans aren’t keen on his appearance in any respect. That is unsurprising, since we have only just learned that we’re probably stuck with this face, so everyone seems to be going to be rather more critical now.

To make matters worse, we have not even had an excellent take a look at female Jun just yet. The devs have reassured us that she exists, but the entire previews have been focused on dude-Jun to this point. Admittedly, that’s something it actually does share with Mass Effect, at the least before the third game when femshep was finally allowed to shine.

Provided that Exodus is launching next yr, I would not expect any type of drastic redesigns – especially since they appear to still be making the ultimate touches to the feminine protagonist. Nonetheless, since we understand how limited our options might be, fans are going to have much higher expectations; there might be no fixing it within the character creator.
