The long-awaited moment has finally arrived, with teenage sensation Vaibhav Suryavanshi set to make his international debut within the second T20I between England cricket team and India national cricket team at Manchester on Saturday, July 4. India are currently involved in a five-match T20I series, with the opening game washed out midway because of rain.
Suryavanshi, who was widely expected to debut throughout the Ireland series, remained on the sidelines in the primary T20I against England as well. Nonetheless, the teen finally received his maiden India cap from Tilak Varma ahead of the Manchester clash.
Many former cricketers and fans had been eagerly calling for his debut, and with the young star now able to represent the senior side, social media quickly crammed with reactions.
“The primary page of what could possibly be a legendary profession. Wishing you the perfect, Vaibhav Sooryavanshi. 🇮🇳⭐,” a fan wrote on X.

After winning the toss, India elected to bat first, meaning Vaibhav Suryavanshi will open the innings alongside Abhishek Sharma. The focus will firmly be on the young batter as he begins his much-anticipated debut.
Vaibhav Suryavanshi Shatters Indian Legend’s Record
By receiving his debut cap, Vaibhav Suryavanshi etched his name in history even before taking the sphere, becoming the youngest Indian male cricketer to play international cricket. The milestone had previously belonged to Sachin Tendulkar, who made his international debut at 16 years and 205 days in 1989 during a Test match against Pakistan national cricket team.
Suryavanshi also surpassed Washington Sundar to develop into India’s youngest men’s T20I debutant, with Sundar having debuted within the format at 18 years and 80 days in 2017. After a sensational Indian Premier League campaign, scoring 776 runs at a mean of 48.50 and a remarkable strike rate of 237.30, including one century and five half-centuries, Suryavanshi might be expected to make a right away impact on debut.
