CM Punk made a serious return on this week’s episode of WWE RAW in his hometown of Chicago, IL. This was Punk’s first appearance on TV because the RAW after WrestleMania 42. Last night on the flagship show, The Second City Saint replaced Cody Rhodes and went on to face Sami Zayn for the Undisputed WWE Championship. What got here as a shocker was Zayn losing the World Title in only nine days to Punk.
During a recent episode of the “Busted Open Radio” podcast, Tommy Dreamer addressed Punk’s return to win the Undisputed WWE Championship. He said,
“Among the best cinematic entrances without it being cinematic. I’m talking Triple H’s return to the garden, I’m talking John Cena’s return. It was certainly one of the loudest.”
“It’s an amazing testament for perseverance. Triple H has to get numerous praise for mending fences that were form of unmendable. This throws such an enormous curveball into the long run and into SummerSlam.”
Reportedly There Are No Issues Between WWE And Punk
For the past few days, there have been rumors about alleged issues between Punk and WWE since WrestleMania 42. Nevertheless, Sean Ross Sapp cleared the air on the matter. He noted,
“We have already got. We spoke on those rumors a pair weeks ago. Those are those that he’s talking about. It’s just we’ve gotten no person to verify that. No one on the creative team, no person in WWE, no person that even disliked him.”
“I reached out to those that I knew disliked him to see in the event that they even heard that hot goss. That they had not heard that.”
“Like, it was news to them once I brought it up. Like we approached the pay cut rumors, all that stuff. Just no person was buying it. So if it’s true, people in WWE just had not heard it. It’s all the time possible. It’s true.”
“I’ll say, normally CM Punk news gets on the market pretty swiftly, but him being off this long was definitely not the plan.”
