UFC 329 will mark several firsts for Robert Whittaker who returns after almost a yr out.

This coming Saturday, the 14th International Fight Week culminates with UFC 329, headlined by Conor McGregor vs Max Holloway.

The cardboard is unusually strong considering it’s headlined by the Irishman’s return, including six fighters who’ve previously held a UFC title or a minimum of challenged for one.

One among whom is Robert Whittaker, who makes his light heavyweight debut against Nikita Krylov after moving up from middleweight following back-to-back losses.

Whittaker’s children will probably be in attendance at UFC 329, which is something McGregor advises against

The previous middleweight champion is hoping to make a direct splash within the 205lb division, recently defending his decision to maneuver up after some fan criticism.

And while his fight against ‘The Miner’ is a big fight for the longer term of his profession, he has opted to bring his family along for your entire fight week, which is something he doesn’t often do.

“Normally I don’t take the family, but I’m not gonna be fighting eternally and the youngsters are at a very good age where they remember this kind of trip and do not forget that daddy used to do something,” Whittaker explained on the recent Embedded episode.

“It’s the primary time that the majority of the youngsters have been capable of come and be a component of fight week and so they’re so excited to be here and experience what (Robert) does firsthand… Being here for fight week is extraordinary,” Whittaker’s wife added.

“I’m on the tail-end of my profession, I would like my kids to benefit from the journey for what it’s, I believe they’re at a very good age to enjoy it and to make some memories,” Whittaker continued.

Having children present for fights is something ‘The Notorious’ advises against.

“I don’t recommend bringing your loved ones in any respect, especially the youngsters. That is a special type of battle. I’ve done it each ways, and happening the mission alone is best,” McGregor once said.

His opponent, Holloway, has all the time brought his son, Rush, to his fights and fans have turn out to be acquainted with him through the years.

Hopefully for ‘The Reaper’, his children may bring good luck and he can mark his light heavyweight debut with a powerful win that may put him immediately into title contention.
