An American fitness influencer drowned in a lake following a meltdown at a luxury housing estate in Thailand.

Connor Michael Murphy, 31, allegedly yelled frenzied prayers as he went on a rampage through Lake Wood Village near Bangkok.

Neighbours called police within the early hours of July 7, when he was heard screaming and trashing his rental home before suddenly bolting outside.

He was reportedly seen rolling on the road together with his hands clasped together in prayer while mumbling prayers.

When the cops arrived, the YouTuber – who described himself as a ‘Giga Chad’ – fled toward the nearby golf course, where they found him swimming naked within the 8ft-deep lake.

Officers monitored him for hours but refused to come back close, fearing he would drag them underwater.

Nevertheless, the self-proclaimed ‘alpha male’ was later seen struggling to remain afloat before vanishing under the surface.

Divers were deployed for a search-and-rescue operation at 2 pm local time. After half-hour, they positioned Connor’s dead body in the course of the lake.

He’s believed to have drowned after suffering leg cramps.

Police said he was being tested for drugs as they recovered two unused syringes and a white pill in his bag and automobile.

Police Captain Weeraphong Rupsuay of Bang Phli district station said: ‘The body is currently undergoing an autopsy, and all evidence, including the white pills found contained in the automobile, has been sent to a laboratory for examination.

‘We’re awaiting the autopsy results to find out whether narcotics or alcohol were present in his system. It just isn’t yet known what sort of pills were found or what the syringes were intended for use for.

‘He’s believed to have been living in Thailand for not less than two years by constantly renewing his visa.

‘As for his apparent religious behaviour, it could have been his personal beliefs. He suddenly became frantic all of sudden, despite never having displayed such behaviour before.’

Police inspected his house, which was present in disarray with black paint splashed and smeared across the partitions. Piles of rubbish were strewn within the kitchen, while the sofas, dishes, decorations, and various appliances were stained in brown and yellow paint.

The owner said Connor had been renting the property for just two months.

She added: ‘The sofas and all the pieces inside were ruined. I loved this lakeside home and took great pride in it.

‘It’s price around 22 million baht, including the furniture and fittings, and now it’s been destroyed. I rented it out for 35,000 baht a month and had chosen the tenant rigorously.

‘He’d only been living here for 2 months, and until now, there had been no problems. I never imagined I’d find my house like this.’

Connor’s 22-year-old Thai girlfriend said that before his rampage, he had invited her to buy groceries, and he or she declined. He allegedly broke down shortly after returning home.

She said: ‘He also went on a rampage around two years ago, but I don’t know if he had an identical history before coming to Thailand. I don’t know if he used drugs either, and if he did, he never did so in front of me.

‘I often tried to stop him from doing certain things, and that led us to living individually. So far as I do know, he ran an internet food complement and fitness business with a friend.’

Connor, who branded himself an ‘anti-shirt activist’ and a ‘Chad’, which is a slang term for an alpha male, handled several YouTube channels, including Connosis, Connor Murphy Talks, and Connor Murphy Official, which have a complete of greater than 2.4 million subscribers.

One video tells viewers how you can get a chiselled ‘giga Chad’ square jaw. He posts a wide range of content, including fitness advice, vlogs, pranks, and clips of himself flirting with women.

Connor also ran an OnlyFans account where he sold videos of himself romping with women. He grew an internet following by posting workout routines and motivational posts. Nevertheless, fans noticed he shifted to more ‘psychedelic’ content in 2020, specializing in meditation and spirituality.

His last YouTube video, posted on July 1, was titled ‘RIP Elon Muscular’. It showed him dribbling a ball in his home as he ‘absorbed the spirit of Elon’ and ‘thanked him for his sacrifice’.
