MJF Praised As The Roman Reigns Of AEW By WWE Alum

Former AEW World Champion MJF is a star in AEW akin to Roman Reigns’ role in WWE, not less than in keeping with former WWE personality Jonathan Coachman.

MJF has been an element of AEW since 2019 and is a multi-time AEW World Champion, in addition to a former AEW International Champion.

On Twitter, Coachman spoke about MJF and his recent AEW World Championship loss, and compared the young wrestler to Reigns. He said,

“MJF — he’s the Roman Reigns of AEW. If Tony Khan ever lets MJF walk, it’s going to be just because they refuse to pay him what he wants.”

Despite his high praise for MJF, Coachman believes that it was right for AEW to take the World Title off him and put the gold on Kenny Omega. He said,

“So now they put it on a legend — a man in Kenny Omega that has one really good run left in him… But are they going to change it in a short time like they did with Sami Zayn to get it to CM Punk? Will it’s MJF, Omega, simply to get it to Will Ospreay?”

Omega is currently set to face Will Ospreay, the winner of the 2026 Owen Hart Men’s Foundation Tournament, at AEW All In: London.
