The cardboard for WWE SummerSlam 2026 is coming together, and the two-night event will reportedly see one wrestler make his WWE in-ring debut.
In keeping with a brand new report by PWInsider.com, Gunther vs. Nick Aldis is currently planned for this yr’s SummerSlam, which was confirmed by WWE sources.
The match was described as “100% set” by sources and comes after weeks of issues and altercations between the 2 European performers.
If the match goes ahead, it’ll be Aldis’ first wrestling match since joining WWE as SmackDown’s GM in 2023 and his first WWE match ever.
Within the ring, Aldis is best known for his work in TNA and the NWA. He’s a former World Heavyweight Champion in each promotions.
On last week’s WWE SmackDown, Aldis was attacked once more by GUNTHER, and Adam Pearce might be running tonight’s show in Aldis’ place.
