For the primary time in 15 years, Tyson Fury is heading right into a fight lighter than his opponent.
This coming Friday, ‘The Gypsy King’ returns to motion for the second time this 12 months when he takes on Mariusz Wach in Pattaya, Thailand.
When the fight was announced just a few months ago, fans were surprised to see that the previous champion could be taking up a comparatively unknown opponent, who once fought his cousin, Hughie Fury.
Despite that, the fight will act as somewhat of a tune-up fight for Tyson Fury, who remains to be chomping on the bit to fight his British rival, Anthony Joshua.
Is Tyson Fury done at the highest level?
Fury outweighed by 26lbs ahead of title clash in Thailand
It was announced just a few weeks ago that Fury’s fight on the 2000-capacity stadium in Thailand might be contested for a special belt.
The Brit and Wach will clash for the WBC Humanitarian, honoring the events charitable impact.
Fury revealed that he generated over £250,000 through ticket sales for the fight, announcing that each one of which could be donated to charities in Thailand.
And ahead of their clash on the Max Muay Thai stadium in Pattaya this Friday, the 2 fighters stepped onto the dimensions this Thursday morning to make their clash official.
‘Wiking’ Wach stepped onto the dimensions first, weighing in at a whopping 291.4lbs, which is the best he has ever weighed throughout his profession.
‘The Gypsy King’ then again has lost a bit of little bit of weight since his fight this past April against Arslanbek Makhmudov, weighing in at 265lbs.

This may mark the primary time in 15 years that Fury has been outweighed by his opponent.
“That is my second camp now back-to-back after my 16-month layoff, I’m getting sharper and fitter and stronger by the day,” Fury told DAZN Boxing.
“Actually (I’ve) never fought an opponent heavier than me, I’ve never faced a person heavier than me, and this man’s nearly 2.5 stone heavier than me and I’m normally the fat c— ain’t I? Mr Slim now!”
