On Saturday night in London, the Vargas Dynasty will move right into a latest sport as two members of the famed family make their bare knuckle boxing debuts. Fernando Vargas Jr and Amado Vargas need to put their pedigree on display without gloves after establishing solid careers in the normal code.

And Fernando Sr is confident of their probabilities in the brand new game, saying that his fighting profession began without gloves on the streets. “I began boxing because I used to be a street fighter,” he explained. “I used to be a child that was locked up in juvenile hall, a whole bunch of hours of community service for batteries and theft.

“I used to be suspended from school for fighting, I saw amateur boxing and said ‘what the hell is that this?’ So, I used to be that street fighter… Just being in London is a lovely thing, boxing has taken me in every single place on this planet.

“So I’m just blessed to find a way to be with my boys and with them every step of the way in which… It’s going to be super fire!”
