India spinner Kuldeep Yadav made a right away impact in English conditions after being ignored for the recent three-match ODI series against England led by Harry Brook. The 31-year-old remained on the sidelines during India’s 1-2 ODI series defeat to England, with the team management choosing greater batting depth by backing all-rounders Washington Sundar, Axar Patel, and Shivam Dube.
Even within the series decider at Lord’s, where India fielded five frontline bowlers, Kuldeep was ignored because the visitors preferred a four-man pace attack, with Axar Patel serving because the lone specialist spinner.
Kuldeep Yadav To Play Royal One-Day Cup Before India Test Return
Kuldeep Yadav‘s initial stint with Yorkshire will see him feature in five Royal One-Day Cup matches until August 2. He’s then set to link up with the Indian squad for the two-match Test series against Sri Lanka, starting on August 15.
After completing national duty, the left-arm wrist-spinner will return to Yorkshire for the second leg of his stint, featuring within the county’s final three matches of the County Championship season.
