During Saturday’s UFC Abu Dhabi broadcast, commentator John Gooden revealed news of the predominant event for September’s card in Paris, France.
Salahdine Parnasse has signed with the UFC and can debut in front of his home fans against veteran contender Dan Hooker.
The 28-year-old is one of the crucial highly touted names coming out of Europe, and the promotion he found most of his success in has a warning for Parnasse’s recent peers.

KSW predicts major success within the UFC for ex-double champion Salahdine Parnasse
Parnasse won titles in two weight classes under the banner of Poland’s KSW organization. Along with winning the lightweight belt, he’s a two-time champion at 145 kilos.
After making a splash across the Atlantic, the French-Moroccan made his United States debut with an enormous audience watching this past May.
On Netflix, Parnasse fought on Ronda Rousey’s comeback card, knocking out Kenneth Cross to construct further hype around his name.
Having previously turned down the UFC’s low offers, Parnasse’s MVP MMA victory evidently provided the stock boost that he needed to secure higher terms with the game’s leading promotion.
He now has the possibility to make an impression contained in the Octagon, and Parnasse’s ex-employer expects that to spell bad news for the UFC’s lightweight roster.
“The double champion is coming for all of you,” the official KSW account wrote within the comments section of Parnasse’s UFC announcement video.

Hooker’s trip to Paris to welcome Parnasse to the UFC will mark his second outing of 2026. Last outing, ‘The Hangman’ was knocked out by Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 325 in Sydney.
Three months earlier, Hooker had been submitted by Arman Tsarukyan, meaning the Kiwi is winless since beating Mateusz Gamrot in August 2024.
