Dan Hooker claims he’s received death threats after UFC Paris important event was announced

Ever since his UFC Paris important event against Salahdine Parnasse was announced, Dan Hooker has been receiving death threats from fans.

‘The Hangman’ hasn’t competed for the reason that starting of the 12 months when he was handed a brutal loss by Benoit Saint-Denis at UFC 325 in Sydney.

A number of months after his disappointing second loss in a row, the 36-year-old admitted that he hadn’t been taking fighting seriously and had been drinking throughout his camp.

And despite calls to retire from the game, Dan Hooker will once more compete in an enormous fight at lightweight when he welcomes Salahdine Parnasse to the UFC.

Hooker has received death threats after UFC Paris fight announced

Earlier last week, Parnasse teased a possible signing with the premier promotion after having previously rejected a suggestion from them.

Not long after, it was announced in the course of the UFC Abu Dhabi broadcast that Hooker could be the one to welcome the Frenchman to the Octagon, with them set to headline UFC Paris in September.

Despite having fought a Frenchman in BSD last trip, Hooker has revealed this time around, he’s receiving death threats from diehard Parnasse fans.

“F— from what I’m getting, there’s a variety of death threats, the death threats have been outrageous,” Hooker told Submission Radio.

“I didn’t get it once I fought BSD. French people speaking French and telling me I’m ‘gonna die’ and telling me they’re ‘gonna kill me’ and s—. Yeah, the death threats have been outrageous.

“I feel possibly because BSD is such a respectful guy that the individuals who follow him aren’t complete f—— c—- but whoever this c—- fans are, they’re outrageous. It’s gonna feel pretty sweet shutting this kids lights out,” Hooker continued.

Hooker is now at some extent in his profession where he likely needs a win on enemy territory to save lots of his UFC profession.

At 36 years old and potentially suffering three losses in a row, Hooker understands the calls for him to retire, but he’s hoping to return to form by handing Parnasse his first loss since 2023.
