After a successful first season, The Traitors is ready to return with a brand-new edition. Streaming platform Prime Video has officially announced the premiere date for Season 2 of the fact show, with Karan Johar returning because the host. Together with the discharge announcement, the makers have also confirmed the primary two celebrity contestants.
The truth series, based on the internationally popular format The Traitors became probably the most talked-about streaming shows in India during its debut season. With one other round of trust, betrayal, and mind games on the best way, expectations are already high for the brand new season.
The Traitors Season 2 Release Date
The makers dropped a primary video, teasing about what to anticipate within the second season, and confirmed the discharge date. Prime Video has announced that The Traitors Season 2 will premiere on August 13, 2026. The show will stream exclusively on the platform, with latest episodes dropping every Thursday.
Produced by Dharmatic Entertainment, the series is the Indian adaptation of the globally popular reality format, which has been adapted in greater than 40 countries.
First Two Contestants Confirmed
The makers have also revealed the primary two celebrity participants for the upcoming season. Actress Mallika Sherawat and reality star Munawar Faruqui will likely be among the many contestants competing in the sport. More celebrity names are expected to be announced in the approaching weeks ahead of the premiere.
Karan Johar will return because the host of the fact show, who will guide contestants through a game of trust, deception, and strategy. Identical to the last season, contestants will compete while trying to seek out out who amongst them are the traitors.
A Look Back At Season 1
The primary season aired from June 12 to July 3, 2025, and was based on the Dutch format, De Verraders. The show had contestants from the film, television, sports, and digital worlds, including Karan Kundrra, Raj Kundra, Jasmin Bhasin, and Raftaar. In season 1, the “Innocents” Uorfi Javed and Nikita Luther won the title and split the ₹70.05 lakh prize fund.
