For the second time in her WWE profession, Zelina Vega found herself and not using a job after being released by the corporate in April. The discharge also included her husband, Aleister Black, with each departing WWE on the identical day as a part of a wave of roster cuts.
It wasn’t the primary time Vega had experienced that situation. She was previously released by WWE in 2020 before making her return to the corporate just eight months later, eventually capturing championship gold and reestablishing herself as a featured member of the roster.
During a recent interview with Denise Salcedo of “Instinct Culture,” Vega reflected on her latest WWE departure and shared her thoughts on going through the experience for a second time. She said,
“I still had an exquisite profession with WWE. No matter anything relating to that, obviously I used to be released prior as well; I still had almost a ten-year profession there. The best way I have a look at it’s, yes, my husband and I were released but I used to be in a position to meet my husband and make him my husband due to WWE. I had that moment in Puerto Rico at Backlash due to WWE. I actually attempt to spin things right into a positive, regardless. It’s really hard because I’m such an enormous advocate for mental health that not all the pieces goes to be sunshine and rainbows. Not daily goes to be a completely satisfied one. I’ve handled the ups and downs of it. I remember once I saw my phone vibrating, I used to be like, ‘Oh, sh**.’ You don’t expect it, after which it hits; you’re like, ‘Alright.’ Either you go into panic mode or survival mode. I even have rather more a survival mode mentality, but it surely doesn’t mean it doesn’t include a tough time. I actually attempt to hold on to the positive. I even have such a tremendous fu**ing fanbase due to WWE and TNA, I can’t disregard that either, and STARDOM, I’ve had loads of individuals who stuck with me along the way in which, and it’s incredible. Without the Paige movie, I don’t even know you’d be taking a look at an individual named Zelina Vega. There are such a lot of people I even have to thank along the way in which. I try really to carry onto the positive part.”
