India all-rounder Manav Suthar is ready to return to county cricket after the upcoming Test series against Sri Lanka. Suthar, who recently made his Test debut within the one-off match against Afghanistan, has been included in India’s squad for the two-match series in Sri Lanka next month.
Warwickshire have confirmed that Suthar will rejoin the club for the ultimate 4 matches of the Rothesay County Championship. Earlier this season, he featured in two games against Yorkshire and Somerset, claiming his maiden five-wicket haul for the county against Somerset and ending with 11 wickets across each matches.
Warwickshire’s remaining County Championship fixtures are against Hampshire, Glamorgan, Essex, and Leicestershire, with all 4 matches scheduled for September.

The young all-rounder is ready for his second spell with Warwickshire this season. Suthar made his first-class debut for Rajasthan against Andhra Pradesh in 2022 and has since taken 147 wickets in 32 matches at a median of 25.13, including three 10-wicket match hauls. He has also contributed with the bat, scoring 1,071 runs at a median of 26.12, with one century and 6 fifties to his name.
Manav Suthar Makes Strong India Debut
Manav Suthar made a memorable begin to his international profession within the one-off Test against Afghanistan in Latest Chandigarh last month. Batting in India’s first innings of 564/8 declared, the left-arm all-rounder scored 28 runs before making a significant impact with the ball.
Suthar starred in Afghanistan’s first innings, claiming outstanding figures of 6/33 in 22 overs because the visitors were bowled out for 152. After India enforced the follow-on, Afghanistan were dismissed for just 112, handing Shubman Gill’s side an emphatic innings-and-300-run victory.
Suthar picked up another wicket within the second innings to complete with seven wickets on debut. His all-round performance earned him the Player of the Match award. With Sri Lanka expected to supply spin-friendly conditions, the 23-year-old is prone to play a vital role with the ball during his first overseas Test tour.
