Nigel McGuinness will put his Ring of Honor profession on the road when he challenges Lee Moriarty for the ROH Pure Championship at ROH Death Before Dishonor on August 21.
ROH announced the high-stakes title match on Friday, adding a serious stipulation to the bout. If McGuinness is unable to dethrone Moriarty, he won’t ever wrestle in Ring of Honor again.
The challenge comes after Moriarty has already defeated the previous ROH Pure Champion twice in singles competition. Their previous victories got here in a standard Pure Rules match and later in a grueling 30-minute Iron Man Match, giving the champion a 2-0 edge heading into their latest showdown.
Now, McGuinness can have one final opportunity to reclaim the ROH Pure Championship, but a loss would bring his Ring of Honor in-ring profession to a everlasting end.
