Recently, WWE added two recent titles to its palette — that being the WWE Women’s United States and Women’s Intercontinental Championships, each of which have been officially claimed. Firstly, Chelsea Green defeated Michin at WWE Saturday Night’s Foremost Event to develop into the inaugural WWE Women’s United States Champion. Weeks later, Lyra Valkyria cemented herself as the primary ever Women’s Intercontinental Champion. In a recent interview with the “Battleground Podcast,” WWE star Raquel Rodriguez shared her tackle the introduction of those titles.
Foremost, Rodriguez believes that they are going to bring more eyes to the WWE women’s division. Moreover, she sees them as pathways to extra screen-time on WWE television. “Having these two recent titles is admittedly going to present more opportunities to more women who’re training hard on daily basis and just have not had that one likelihood to step into the front of the camera,” Rodriguez said.
“Now that we have now these two recent titles to go after, to fight for, we have now more women who’re going to want to come back through and step through the woodworks. I believe you guys are going to be seeing loads of recent female faces which are going to be in the ladies’s division, so much more probabilities to fall in love with different characters.”
For Rodriguez, her attention is probably going fixed on the Women’s Intercontinental Championship, because it is exclusive to the “WWE Raw” brand, where she currently resides. Valkyria won this title by beating Dakota Kai within the tournament finals on “Raw” last month. She has yet to defend it since then.
