The “Superbad” actor, 35, has been spotted throughout social media, and even on the streets of Latest York City, with CeraVe products, but the corporate wants everyone to know the reality about his involvement.

Cera seems to want the world to imagine that he’s got something big to do with the favored skincare brand, but CeraVe has something different to say.

Michael Cera Made Subtle Claims About CeraVe On “The Really Good Podcast” With Bobbi Althoff
During a recent episode of Althoff‘s popular podcast, Cera made some subtle but confusing claims in regards to the skincare brand.
“You claim you began that,” Althoff said to Cera about CeraVe. He responded, “I don’t claim that but when you take a look at my name, my name is Michael Cera. I just say take a look at the name.”
He continued by explaining that other people say he began the brand and he continued to somewhat dance across the topic in a way that just further fuels the rumors.
“I like to simply say I even have some skin in the sport and sort of leave it at that. I do use CeraVe. I believe it’s a high quality product and I believe it’s very hydrating,” he continued. “There are three essential ceramides in it and a series of nourishing lipids, and I believe it’s a high quality product but that’s so far as it goes, so far as I’m willing to say.”
Althoff asked Cera how he knows all of that information and he said he doesn’t know why, but he’s “come to know that.” He then tried to alter the topic saying he would love to “speak about a big selection of other things, not only my product, I mean, not only CeraVe.”
Cera admitted that there are rumors floating around in regard to his involvement with CeraVe, and said he “can’t be held liable for every rumor.” He then told Althoff that she is going to “experience it if you start a product someday.”
