Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling have reunited, with the icons engaging in a playful spar.

The previous bantamweight champions have gone on a crazy journey, with the pair sharing the octagon on two separate occasions.

Of their first collision, at UFC 259, the Russian was seemingly cruising toward victory, until a crazy decision to nail his opponent with an illegal knee cost him not only the fight, but his championship belt.

Within the rematch, at UFC 273, a much improved ‘Funk Master’ walked away with a split decision win.

At the height of their feud, Petr Yan and Aljamain Sterling shared an intense dislike for each other, with their rivalry cementing its place as among the finest within the history of the 135-pound division.

Nevertheless, their once frosty relationship appears to have healed, with the gifted fighters now on significantly higher terms.

Footage of the pair, engaging in a light-hearted spar, has gone down a storm with the fans.

A video uploaded to social media, shows Yan land a jab to the body, before the 2 men start trading leg kicks.

Because the intensity increased, the Jamaican-American chuckled as his old foe attempted to throw an elbow, followed by a head kick.

Reacting to the clip, one fan said: “Sterling is such a pleasant guy, would definitely hang around with him,” while one other added: “That is so healthful.”

Petr Yan gave Aljamain Sterling an Oscar

While the sparring amused fans, it wasn’t the one video the pair put out that received an enormous response from the MMA community.

On the time of their first fight, some criticized the Latest Yorker for his response to the knee.

With that in mind, Yan handed Sterling an Oscar in a very amusing video.
