‘Vital’ clues have been discovered on the mobile phones of Hollyoaks and Netflix actor Callum Kerr’s mother and her husband who died in France, it has been reported.

British expats Dawn and Andrew Searle’s bodies were found at their home within the southwestern village of Les Pesquies, about 50 miles from Toulouse, on Thursday.

There have been multiple theories about their deaths after a ‘gangland’ hit was ruled out.

French police technicians have been examining devices belonging to the couple as a part of the investigation.

A phone belonging to Andrew – a former financial investigator involved within the fight against organisaed crime – is proving ‘particularly helpful,’ said an unnamed source.

‘There’s a mine of knowledge, and up to date calls made by Mr Searle are providing vital clues,’ they said.

This comes after Antoine Da Silva, a neighbour of the couple, said he saw Andrew making an ‘agitated’ call in the times before he died.

He said: ‘Andrew looked very nervous. He said “I can’t speak with you I’m on the phone” and he walked on immediately.’

One other neighbour, who asked to not be named, also saw the Searles acting unusually.

He said: ‘I saw them the day before they were found – they were walking the dogs and Andrew was on the phone.

‘Andrew was very agitated, and he was arguing violently in English, he just waved at me after which carried on.’

The 65-year-old was reportedly discovered hanged on a banister with a gag in his mouth.

His wife, Dawn, is alleged to have been found lying naked outside by the front door, with a wound to the top and jewellery scattered round her.
