Indian cricketer Yuzvendra Chahal and his wife Dhanashree Verma are officially separated. The news of their divorce was doing rounds on social media for months. Each shared cryptic posts on the web, hinting that that they had gone their separate ways. But, none of them firmly spoke on the subject to spotlight possible reasons behind the choice. Nevertheless, it has now been reported that the couple’s final hearing and all crucial formalities took place on the Bandra Family Court on Thursday, where each were physically present.
Based on a report in ABP news, the judge advised the couple to hunt counseling, which lasted for about 45 minutes. After the counselling session, the judge was informed that each desired to part ways with mutual consent.
It was further revealed that Chahal and Dhanashree were living individually for the past 18 months. When asked in regards to the possible reason behind searching for divorce, the couple said that had ‘compatibility issues’.
At around 4:30 PM on Thursday, the judge officially granted them divorce.
Chahal shared a post on social media right before the ultimate hearing which read: “God has protected me more times than I can count. So I can only imagine the times I have been rescued that I do not even learn about. Thanks, God, for at all times being there, even once I don’t realize it. Amen.”

Dhanashree also shared a message about faith on her Instagram account. “From stressed to blessed. Is not it amazing how God can turn our worries and trials into blessings? When you’re stressing about something today, know that you’ve got a alternative. You may either keep worrying or you’ll be able to give up all of it to God and select to wish about every thing. There’s power in having faith that God can work all things together in your good.”
While neither mentioned the word divorce within the posts, the gist of the messages says all of it.
