Pakistan tackle India on the Dubai International Stadium within the UAE of their group phase meeting within the ICC Champions Trophy 2025 on Sunday in a blockbuster contest and Chairman Mohsin Naqvi reiterated that the boys in green were ready for a difficult contest against their arch-rivals in a game that would define their stint at the continued marquee ICC event.

Pakistan lost their opener against Latest Zealand to place their qualification hopes in jeopardy, and a defeat against India could dump them out of the tournament.

“Hope there might be a great match tomorrow,” Naqvi began.

“Definitely, our team is fully prepared,” he reiterated.

“I feel the team is in form. Whether or not they win or lose we’re with them the team,” the Pakistan Cricket Board head said.

Pakistan were presupposed to be the lone host of the tournament but needed to share the honour after BCCI barred the Indian team from travelling across the border citing security reasons. When quizzed about how the relocation might affect the sport, Naqvi turned the query around.

“Please ask the Indians what they’d have felt if the match happened in Lahore,” he said.

Hence team India will play all their games in Dubai, including the one against Pakistan. India opened their campaign with a win over Bangladesh as star batter Shubman Gill notched up an unbeaten century.
