Sara Khan On Shooting During Ramadan

“I at all times look ahead to this time, especially because I really like having iftar each day,” she added.

Though she just isn’t in a position to keep rozas (fasts) resulting from her work commitments, she calls herself fortunate as she is currently shooting in Rishikesh.

She said, “I’m shooting for my upcoming film Charitraheen, so this 12 months it’s impossible for me to maintain the Rozas. However it’s amazing how life works; last 12 months during Ramadan, I used to be in Mecca, Saudi Arabia, for my Umrah. And this 12 months, I’m in Rishikesh, which is generally known as Shiv Ji’s land. I’m so blessed that this 12 months, on this beautiful month, I’m here in Rishikesh, and last 12 months I celebrated Ramadan. In Mecca, people may even see this in other ways, but I take it as a blessing.”

“I feel fortunate that I’m in a position to do my work while also being in such a holy place, where we’re shooting at some beautiful locations. Since childhood, my family has taught me the importance of this holy month. While I could not at all times find a way to maintain every fast resulting from my shooting schedule, every time I get the possibility, I do,” she added.

For her, Ramadan is a time of deep spiritual connection. “Just being surrounded by such divine energy strengthens me. I feel blessed to receive all of God’s grace,” Sara concluded.
