Fightful Select is reporting that WWE is concerned about signing veteran NJPW wrestler Jeff Cobb, who’s currently a free agent.
Cobb has been primarily wrestling for NJPW as a part of The United Empire but recently hinted at exploring other opportunities after a loss, expressing uncertainty about his future with the corporate.
While it’s been rumored that Cobb appeared on WWE’s internal roster, this has not been confirmed. AEW sources also stated that Cobb isn’t expected to affix AEW despite having appeared there up to now.
Cobb, 42, has held multiple NJPW titles, including the IWGP Tag Team Titles, NEVER Openweight Title, and NJPW World Television Championship. He also competed within the 2004 Olympic Games.
