Bobbie Jean Carter, sister of Nick Carter and Aaron Carter, has passed away at age 41. The reason for death is unknown at the moment.
Bobbie Jean’s mother, Jane Carter, released an announcement following the death of her daughter. “I’m in shock from learning of the sudden death of my daughter, Bobbie Jean; and I’ll need time to process the terrible reality of this happening for the third time,” she said, adding, “After I am in a position to think clearly, I’ll release a fuller statement; but until then I’d request to be left to grieve in private.”
She added, “Nonetheless deeply a parent feels the lack of a toddler, the suffering of a young child on the lack of a parent have to be much greater. So, I’d ask the sympathetic to say a prayer for my precious eight-year-old granddaughter Bella, who previously lost her father and is now also left without her mother.”
Bobbie Jean Carter Passes Away At Age 41
Bobbie Jean, also referred to as BJ, was the sister of Backstreet Boys member Nick Carter and ‘I Want Candy’ singer Aaron Carter, who passed away in November 2022. Authorities determined that the pop star died after drowning in his bathtub while under the influence.
Per our previous article, Aaron’s toxicology tests showed “difluoroethane” in his system, which is usually present in aerosol dusters and compressed air cans. “Difluoroethane is a gas commonly used as a propellant in air spray cleaners for electronic devices that may induce feelings of euphoria when inhaled. It is thought to have cardiotoxic effects which may result in cardiac arrhythmias and sudden cardiac arrest,” the toxicology report stated.
A standard benzodiazepine — Xanax — was also present in his system on the time of death.
Aaron’s toxicology report stated that “based on the autopsy findings, investigative reports, and circumstances, as currently known, Mr. Carter became incapacitated while in the bath resulting from the results of inhaling compressed gas and taking alprazolam.”
“This resulted in him becoming submerged underwater, unable to breathe, and ultimately led to his death,” the report continued. “The reason for death is drowning resulting from the results of difluoroethane and alprazolam. The way of death is an accident.”
Nearly one 12 months after losing his brother, Nick Carter spoke out concerning the tragic loss, admitting he’s “still processing” every little thing.
“I’m just still processing the entire thing,” the Backstreet Boys member told E! News. “And sometimes you push it down since you don’t wish to give it some thought.”
Nick Carter began crying within the interview with the outlet, before stating, “After which it comes out, like this. I’m hoping someday I could make sense of all of it.”
Who Was Bobbie Jean Carter?
BJ was Aaron’s wardrobe stylist when he was on tour, and likewise appeared on the family’s reality show “House of Carters.” BJ was also heavily involved along with her brother’s music, who released albums “Aaron Carter” and “Aaron’s Party (Come Get It).”
Bobbie Jean was arrested in Florida in April of this 12 months after she stole stickers from Hobby Lobby.
The Carter family also lost their daughter and sister Leslie Carter in 2012.
