Marques Houston and Wife Miya Announce Birth Of Son Greyson

Congratulations to Marques Houston and his wife, Miya, who’ve announced the birth of their baby boy.

It looks like Christmas got here early for the couple after taking to Instagram on Wednesday (December 27) to disclose that their latest addition to the family had arrived earlier this month.

Marques Houston’s Joyful Announcement

“On December thirteenth we welcomed our sweet baby boy. We’re so in love and couldn’t feel more complete,” the caption read. “Greyson Houston. Born December 13, 2023. 6lbs 2oz.”

The heartfelt post included 4 images of the family with their daughter, Zara, in addition to their newborn son, all wearing color-coordinated outfits.

The Houstons will need to have a thing for welcoming babies in December, as Greyson‘s arrival comes just two years after they welcomed Zara on December 2.

It was just in late November when the ‘Clubbin’ rapper told his followers how he couldn’t wait for the arrival of their son. Houston may be seen caressing a heavily pregnant Miya’s stomach within the carousel photos with Zara sitting within the front.

Marques And Miya’s Relationship

The pair first met at a Jehovah’s Witness event in 2018 and got engaged five months later. However it wouldn’t be until August 2020 once they decided to get married in Corona, California.

Because of the coronavirus pandemic, the ‘You Got Served’ star and his wife were forced to downsize their guest list. This meant that only a small variety of family and friends could attend.

In an interview with Rolling Out, Miya revealed that her religious upbringing stemmed from her grandparents who primarily raised her while growing up in San Bernardino, California.

It was her and Marques’ love for his or her religion that had immediately drawn them to at least one one other, she said.

Controversy Surrounding Their Age Gap

News of the pair’s relationship led to quite the conversation on social media, with many quick to indicate the noticeable age gap between Miya and Marques. The Tubi actor would have been 37 when he met his wife, who was 18 on the time.

Nevertheless, during her candid interview with the aforementioned magazine, Miya cleared up the rumors that suggested she may need been underage when she pursued a romance together with her man. She denounced the claims by stressing that their relationship didn’t come about until she was legally of age.

“We definitely didn’t date until I used to be 18, and once I was 19, we got engaged,” she shared. “The web has my birthday totally fallacious. My date of birth is Oct. 7, 2000. We dated lower than two years after which we got married. For the record, I’m currently 20 years old.”

She also dispelled rumors that she and Marques may need been sexually lively before their marriage.

The mother of two, when questioned about why people could find her answer hard to consider, expressed that current relationships being solely based on sex may very well be the rationale. “Since it’s so not normal now to be in a relationship without it being sexual,” she added. “It’s just not typical of the way in which people date on the earth.”

Five years later, though, Marques and Miya are still going strong, and the arrival of baby number two is a testament to that.
