Test it out here:
Adapted from the novel by Jo Hae Jin, titled I Met Loh Kiwan (literal title), My Name is Loh Kiwan depicts the story of the encounter, separation, and romance between Loh Kiwan, a defector from North Korea (played by Song Joong-ki), who arrives in Belgium together with his final glimmer of hope, and Marie (portrayed by Choi Sung-eun), a lady who has lost her will to live.
The teaser of the film depicts the story of Loh Kiwan’s arrival in Belgium. Anxiously waiting in front of immigration, Loh Kiwan finally enters Belgium, only to search out that every one he has on this unfamiliar land is the tough cold and hunger, with loneliness as his only companion.
While attempting to validate his refugee status, glimpses of Loh Kiwan’s life in North Korea are depicted. Despite his efforts, he’s informed, “As of now, we cannot confirm that you just are from North Korea,” Unable to bear the situation any longer, he collapses on the bottom.
Nevertheless, Loh Kiwan encounters Marie (Choi Sung Eun), a Korean expert marksman with Belgian nationality who has lost her will to live.
The teaser ends with Loh Kiwan saying, “I even have managed to return this far by promising myself that I’d endure and overcome whatever hell I experienced on this land, My name is Loh Kiwan.”
Together with the teaser, the makers also dropped the poster of the film featuring Song Joong-ki standing in the course of the gang text that reads, “I even have decided to survive on this land.”
My Name is Loh Kiwan will premiere on OTT on March 1, 2024.
