Pokémon Legends: Z-A was officially announced earlier today throughout the Pokémon Presents broadcast. The reveal comes as a part of Pokémon Day, the annual holiday celebrating the launch of the unique Pokémon video games on February 27, 1996. Pokémon Legends: Z-A is about to release worldwide sometime in 2025 and shall be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch family of systems.
The Pokémon Company is looking Pokémon Legends: Z-A “an ambitious latest entry” and plans to take players to Lumiose City, which is undergoing an urban redevelopment plan to rework it right into a city where people and Pokémon can live together. We’re excited to see how Nintendo and Game Freak construct on the Pokémon Legends formula introduced in Arceus. If Pokémon Legends: Z-A is about entirely in Lumiose City, it’ll be more of an urban environment than the wide-open world present in Arceus.
