Luke Littler made one fan’s night by opening one other EA FC pack during his walk-on in Exeter.
The 17-year-old sensation was competing on night five of the Premier League within the south west as he made his option to the stage on Thursday night.
Littler paused as he was presented the phone of a supporter in attendance, opening the pack to the delight of the fan.
Not only did ‘The Nuke’ open the pack, but he found a Domenico Berardi card with a rating of 89.
Barring a temporary spell with Juventus, the 29-year-old forward has spent much of his profession with Italian side Sassuolo where he has scored nine goals in 17 games this term.
It isn’t the primary time that Littler has opened an EA FC pack, having done similar during last week’s Premier League outing in Newcastle.
Littler is a big EA FC fan and seemed only too comfortable to assist out one among his fans, even when it did come on an evening that resulted in disappointment.
After beating Michael Smith 6-2 within the quarter-finals, Littler was drawn against Rob Cross in the ultimate 4.
Nevertheless, things didn’t exactly go to plan with Cross progressing to the ultimate to face Nathan Aspinall for glory in Exeter, denying Littler the possibility to say his first Premier League event victory. Aspinall won the ultimate 6-2.
Littler may only be 17 but he’s already hinted at his retirement plans, saying that he might decide to only stay in darts for 10 or 15 years.
Chatting with The Times, the teen said: “I’ve been playing a protracted time within the juniors, within the old British Darts Federation.
“I’d just do ten or fifteen years and retire, if I’ve had enough.”
